Is Spyware The Horrible Thing People Make It Out To Be?

Posted by Albert J. Swizer on Mar 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

If you are like over ninety percent of Internet users today, you have spyware on your computer. Recent studies show that almost nine out of ten people have spyware in some form on their computer. However, not all spyware is bad and most people are surprised to find out that spyware isn’t even illegal. In some cases it can even be extremely helpful. In some cases it is a net benefit, even to those who unwillingly download it.

A valuable and positive use for spyware is for parents to monitor their children when they are online. Various kinds of information can easily be recorded by these programs, including web sites visited, and actual words typed on the keyboard. These are also known as keylogger programs. If you are worried about your son or daughter visiting a dangerous site, then this would be extremely beneficial. For example, you could monitor what is being typed in various Internet chat conversations.

Another positive use for spyware is in offices on either a dedicated machine or shared machines. Of course, while you’re at work, you’re supposed to be working, and not wasting valuable time goofing off on the Internet. With the economy as tough as it is, it makes sense that companies would like to squeeze every valuable cent they can out of their employees.

Is Lap Band Surgery Good For Severe Asthmatics?

Posted by Adriana Noton on Mar 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

The rapid increase in obesity across the country has resulted in a number of serious health problems. Many of these health problems can deteriorate a person’s quality of life and even shorten a person’s life. One such health condition that is made worse when obese is asthma. Studies are now showing that there is a link between asthma and morbid obesity. For people who are suffering from severe obesity, lap band surgery has been shown to be an effective method of weight loss that reduces instances of severe asthma attacks.

Obesity has been proven to be a risk factor for such diseases as heart disease, some types of cancer, and diabetes. Now, research studies are revealing that obesity is a risk factor for asthma. For instance, studies now show the risk for developing asthma increases when there is a large increase in weight. When a person is seriously overweight, their breathing becomes shallow because their lungs do not expand as much as it would if one were a normal healthy weight. As well, in obese individuals, there is a chronic inflammation of the lungs which reduces the airway passage. The inflammation takes place in the fatty tissue. A narrower airway passage also means the airways will remain blocked when breathing normally which reduces oxygen exchange. The airways will contract more causing more asthma symptoms. Narrow airways in obese asthmatics are more likely to stay closed during normal breathing which results in reduced oxygen exchange which puts one in a higher risk category for pulmonary hypertension. As well, obese people are more prone to sleep apnea and gastroesophageal reflux disease which can make asthma worse.

Posted by Mihai J on Mar 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

So you want to buy a used car, at a lower cost? This might sound impossible, but it is actually possible. But the question lies in where such cars can be purchased? How and when can they be purchased? Should I purchase a new car if I can afford it? You are not the only person giving thought to this. There a lot of people around the world with the same intention of buying cheap used cars that they can use safely and without problems.

A car is a necessity as it helps for easy transportation, but most people simple choose not to buy one. It is not because they cannot afford to get a brand new ride. It’s simply their choice. Can you really blame them? The price of oil has witnessed a continuous increase coupled with the recent face of global economic meltdown. These two factors alone are enough reasons not to spend money. However, there is still a need to go to work; public transportation is not that desirable. So what’s the solution to this problem? The next option would be to purchase a cheap used car.

Perfect Birthday Present for the Perfect Someone

Posted by Sherlyn Lindsay on Mar 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

Special occasion requires special gifts. That is why birthday gifts are important. They should serve as keepsakes, containing all the wonderful memories which that special someone cherishes.

This is what you should consider: Getting a beautiful oil painting. Transform the all time favorite photographs of hers into lovely oil paintings which capture each and every trail of memories she has. Even back in the Renaissance period, people used it as a way to remember things and person dear to them.

Indeed, a unique oil painting is a marvelous way of delighting the birthday girl. I done one too via Paint The Moment (www.paintthemoment.com) and it was so wonderful.

Since birthday is one significant event, the present which you give her should be significant as well. Oil paintings, with are completely handmade with love, are the best gift you can have for her. Being entirely customised, it brings out the specialness in the piece of painting.

Besides, by presenting such fine works of art to the special someone, it signifies how much you regard her. It also implies that she is someone who is cultivated and is able to appreciate the small things which come by.
