With the massive increase in speed and connection to the Internet, there are more and more sites popping up all over the place. Recent estimates put the figure as high as one million web pages being created per day. And recent surveys indicate that many people are beginning to expect Internet access as a basic human right. But just with any other good thing that comes along, there are dangers as well.
One of the major risks in connecting to the Internet is that you reveal yourself to threats in the fashion of spyware, adware, and other mean software. These can be difficult to perceive, and can have a negative outcome on your computer’s conduct, which in turn will directly have an effect on your Internet experience, so it’s influential to be able to become aware of when you’ve downloaded some kind of spyware or adware program.
The first thing to pay awareness to is how long it takes your computer to do the same tasks over and over. Seeing as it is doing the same thing, it shouldn’t take longer as time goes on. If accessing the same web page is taking longer than before, this may be an indication that you have a wicked software program on your computer. Read more...

The Remote Info section of the Dreamweaver site management dialog allows you to supply details of the remote web server. This will be used by Dreamweaver to connect to the server hosting the site so that information can be uploaded and downloaded. For internet sites, Dreamweaver uses file transfer protocol (FTP) to connect to the server, as shown in the QuickTime example. For intranets and sites being developed on a local server, the Local/Network option is used.
For FTP host, you can enter either the host name or IP address of the FTP connection to your web server. The name usually takes the form ftp.yoursite.com or www.yoursite.com. If in doubt, consult your internet service provider (ISP).
The Host Directory is the folder on the web server in which internet files need to be uploaded if they are to be visible on the web. Check with you ISP to see whether files should be uploaded to the root directory or into a sub-directory. If files are to be uploaded to the root, just leave this box blank. Read more...

Thanks to the miracle of modern technology its now possible to watch live football (Soccer) or any other popular sports on your PC free of charge.
Check for the P2P programs on Internet. There are currently eight P2P programs to download. Just pick one to download. It is free and you will soon have access to watch your favorite matches live.
These p2p programs all work in relatively the same way, firstly you install the freeware program onto your computer. Within each program is a channel list, when the channel you want to watch is clicked on it will launch in the player.
The channels actually originate from people sharing their TV signal, so if you had a TV card installed on your computer you could also share your channels with everyone else. Most of the streaming football or other major sports will have volunteers who will agree to share their TV stations for each and every live match.
The more people that watch these channels at any given time the stronger the signal gets as your computer will act as sort of a repeater, so while you are watching you are actually strengthening the signal for everyone else. Read more...

Many people are familiar with the term, and the need to protect against it, but that’s where it ends. In this article I’ll describe how it works, and how to defend against it, so you can keep your data private, the way it should be.
The general description of spyware is any software that gets installed on your computer for the purposes of secretly collecting information. Many different kinds of spyware exist for many different purposes and reasons. Basically, they all involve stealing your personal information that you would rather keep secret. Spyware can quickly slow your computer down to a crawl, and sometimes make connecting to the Internet impossible.
One particular application of spyware is a keylogger program. These software programs are designed to record every thing you type. Anonymous third parties can use them, but also parents and bosses can use them if they want to monitor exactly what is being typed on a particular computer. One bad way people can use a keylogger program is to steal your passwords or other sensitive information, like your credit card numbers, or your social security numbers. Read more...
