Improve Your Putting For A Better Golf Score

Posted by Connor Terry on Feb 12, 2010 in G&L Guitars

The majority of amateur players will hit the driving range and spend countless hours refining their swing with the driver and golf irons but for what ever the reason will ignore the putter which is arguably the most important club in the bag. Most major PGA championships are not decided on the tee or in the middle of the fairway but what takes place on the putting green. Tiger Woods even starts his best selling book “How I Play Golf” focusing on ways to improve your putting. In this article I will explore how improving your putting will have a major impact on your scorecard.

There is nothing overly appealing about putting unless we are talking about a putt in the twenty foot range it tends not to bring out the crowds although it should. Grab your last golf scorecard and you will see that the majority of your strokes are not off the tee but on the green. Now if we make all of the three putts into twos and the majority of two putts now go straight into the hole the impact this would have on your scorecard is huge. The best way to gain control over your scorecard is not a drive that goes an extra twenty yards but on being consistent on the green. Two putts on every hole of a regulation golf course adds up to thirty six strokes on your scorecard and could be the reason why you are struggling to break eighty or a hundred.

Tattoo Supplies – What You Need

Posted by Adriana Noton on Feb 10, 2010 in G&L Guitars

When you first get started, or even if you already have, tattoo supplies are a must for each artist. As you learn more about the profession and grow within it, what you use and how you use it will change with you. There are tattoo machines, inks, needles and countless other things that you will need

You can always buy each piece individually. There will be times that all you will need is one specific thing or two. But, to save time and money, sometimes it is easier to buy your supplies in what is called a kit. As for prices, that just depends on what you are wanting and the quality of the pieces within it.

In many of the standard kits you will receive a tattoo machine, or in other words, a tattoo gun. Depending on your level of expertise will determine what kind of machine you will get. The machine will consist of three parts that are inter-changeable. They are the coil wrap, the grip, and the tips. Having several of each will be part of keeping your supplies stocked up. Also, to keep the machine together and running are the rubber bands, rubber rings, and grommets.

Energy Efficiency: Balancing Cost and Output

Posted by John Gerace, PhD, PE on Feb 8, 2010 in G&L Guitars

Methods and techniques that reduce the energy level required to produce the same level of service from the energy. The term energy efficiency means achieving more results from the same effort. Sometimes, efficiency can be translated into dollars and cents. It is measurable in terms of watts of visible light, or units of heat or degrees or cooling required.

Energy production has taken the path of attempting to produce more energy from the same components, as evidenced by nuclear power plants. This concept is the opposite of efficiency. Efficiency in energy usage studies how to get more benefit from existing energy sources.

Any entity that uses energy, whether it is an automobile, light bulb or huge manufacturing complex can be a target for reducing the amount of energy that is required to operate the entity. Installing skylights instead of additional light fixtures is efficiency at work. Making automobiles that get more miles per gallon is another way to make better use of energy. Trapping the heat from manufacturing processes and using it for building heat is another example of being energy efficient.

Guide To Living Cheap…These Lifestyles Are Cheap and Fun

Posted by Gary P. Pierce on Feb 8, 2010 in G&L Guitars

A good guide to living cheap will contain retirement lifestyles that are fun as well. For the last fifteen years, the writer and wife have enjoyed lifestyles you may not have considered for retirement. Take a look and see if they do not seem like a lot of fun. You can too with the information on how we did it.

1) Our favorite and most adventurous frugal lifestyle was living on a sailboat…we enjoyed sailboat cruising in the Caribbean for eight wonderful years. It was not only fun we only spent around a $1,000 a month once in the islands. Why that cheap? Anchoring is free…no cash registers in sight…and the view was better than people paying $600 a night in a fancy resort 100 yards from our boat.

2) Full time RV is a great frugal retirement lifestyle. If you enjoy traveling without the hassle of packing and unpacking, give it a try. Monthly rent was around $450…pretty cheap including utilities. We used the RV as a means of finding a permanent retirement home. You can enjoy this fun, frugal retirement lifestyle too.
