Making Use of a Condenser Microphone to Produce Live Sounds in Your Own Home Recording Studio

Posted by admin on Dec 11, 2009 in Home Theater

There are many ways for you to create some live sound in your home, especially if you are thinking of establishing your own recording studio right inside your room, your recreational room, or even your garage. While you can make use of very professional speakers, mixers, and the best sound source, you can also add on to these a condenser microphone. This type of microphone is very effective in producing live sounds because it is very sensitive to even the tiniest sound that may not even be audible to the human ear. Because of this, this microphone is able to work even if you are working at the lowest volume.

There are a number of things that you need to know about a condenser microphone, so that you will also understand how it is able to give you the live sound that you want in your home. You have to know that this kind of microphone uses a capacitor. Although all microphones are known to work under the basic principle of having a diaphragm that receives music or audio and then converts this into an electrical signal, with the condenser mics, the diaphragm is placed in such a manner that it also acts as the capacitor. With this, the space between the plates inside the microphone is altered by the vibrations that are generated through the diaphragm. As a result, an electronic transducer is created, which is in turn is utilized in creating music. Encoded in these transducers is the audio of a certain recording that can then be extracted through different methods, one of which is through the condenser mics.

Market Theater Production Using Window Clings

Posted by admin on Dec 3, 2009 in Home Theater

Ticket sales generate the profit for theater production. Advertisement is important to influence your audience to go and watch your production. Print materials like custom window clings are more versatile and easier to use. Your material communicates messages to your customers about your theater production. Make sure you put your window clings at the best places for better promotion.

Location Ideas Where to Place Window Clings

* Ticket office. The ticket office is a very effective venue to put your window clings. It is exposed to interested movie and theater-goers. Put your window clings on the glass doors or on the windows of the ticket office where it is easier to see. Make sure that its visibility is good to attract attention and generate interest to the customers.

* Public stores and malls. Places where great numbers of people often visit are effective location for window clings. There will be bigger chance for your window clings to be noticed with this number of people. Public stores and malls are your options where you can put window clings so passers-by can catch a glimpse of your print advertisement.

Epson PowerLite S5 Projector Review: Quiet and High-Performance

Posted by admin on Nov 25, 2009 in Home Theater

The Epson PowerLite S5 is affordable, lightweight, and consistently top of the line. It comes with a 2 year warranty and contains all of the necessities required of a high quality, maximum performance home theater projector.
While the Epson PowerLite S5 is much like its predecessors, the S5 is lighter and brighter than any model before it. This packs a punch in the home theater industry as it provides more bang for your buck. If you’re interested in cheap, badly made projectors than there’s plenty of other brands out there, but Epson builds its products to stand the test of time while performing its upmost duty to the viewer by providing a smooth, enriched image all the way through.
Many projectors (and businesses in general) tend to come up short of their claims when tested, but Epson has generously outdone themselves when it comes to the PowerLite S5. It is dramatically brighter than what they claim it to be and exceeds expectations when it comes to performance. The Epson PowerLite S5 comes with a more compact remote control than the S4 for sleeker design and comfort.
While the Epson S5 is a wonderful projector, it comes with less resolution capabilities than most modern day computers. The projector will compress anything it can to make up for this, but small objects in the film will appear slightly smaller than what they’re supposed to be. If you can afford it, a higher resolution projector would present you with a better overall quality but those with a limited budget can expect just as good quality as any other SVGA projector. Most Epson PowerLite S5’s are sold to schools and small businesses and are the preferred projector for the education system due to the high performance you receive compared to the low price.
The S5 is a lot quiter than many home theater projectors with only 35 db of sound with the lamp on maximum output. When the lamp is in low power mode the noise level drops to 28 db which is extremely quiet. In a small room you will definitely be able to hear some amount of noise coming from the projector, but it won’t be so bad that you’ll have to scream just to be heard. You should find the noise to be more of an observation rather than an annoyance.

The idea behind DVD Audio is that it alllows peoducesr to give listeners a playback experience that is much more faithful to the original master recording that has been possible previously.

DVD Audio discs have a much higher capacity than CDs. This extra space can be used to provide audio at the highest possible quality or for longer recordings, or to provide additional material, such as infromation on the artist, photos and even video, all of which can be displaye don a television screen. Alternatively, DVD Audio discs currently on the market from the likes of the Warner group of labels have the audio content in both DVD Audio format and as Dolby Digital surround so that they can be played back on regular DVD players.

Best Home Theater Projectors Of 2009

Posted by admin on Nov 9, 2009 in Home Theater

Do you have access to a large number of dvds or home movies that you would like to watch at your own time but would also like to have movie theater quality? Have you been wondering if you should buy a home theater projector but don’t know what to look for? This article will help you out by going over two of the best home theater projectors of 2009.
Optoma HD70
To start off, let’s talk about the Optoma HD70. At $685, the Optoma HD70 is relatively cheap compared to some of the other models. It has a lamp life of 3000 hours at 200 Watts, meaning that you could theoretically keep it on for 125 days straight without stopping before it dies – and when it does, the lamp is pretty easy to replace (but that’s another story). The image size can be anywhere from 33.55″ to 310″, which truly gives you a movie theater experience. It comes with the AC Power Cord, Composite Video Cable, Component Video Cable, S-Video Cable, Remote Control, Batteries for Remote, Lens Cap, User’s Manual, Quick Start Guide and Warranty Card all in a wonderfully ergonomical carrying case. While this sounds like a lot, the whole thing only weighs 5.6lbs.
Panasonic PT-AE900U
The Panasonic PT-AE900u will cost you a bit more but comes with many cool features. At $1,710, the Panasonic PT-AE900u will give you true high definition quality. It measures about 13″ by 4″ by 10.5″ and weighs a bit more than the Optoma HD70 at 7.9 pounds. The PT-AE900U presents a number of features for adjusting the picture quality of your movie including a new Dynamic Iris optical system that lengthens the range of the iris by 30% for a captivating 5500:1 contrast ratio. Dynamic Iris tracks the movement of the scene so that the video flows more thouroughly than your average dvd. The PT-AE900U is also outfitted with new Smooth Screen technology that effectively eliminates the “screen door effect” (visible spacing between pixels) and gives the projector a more high quality film-like presentation. In order to adapt to any home electronic device, the PT-AE900U supports a full range of input sources, including DVD and video players, PCs and game consoles.
Which of these top of the line projectors you choose is completely up to you as the year 2009 has presented the industry with high performance, smaller machines, and award winning capabilities. With your new projector, you will at last be at ease with watching your favorite movies right in the comfort of your own home. Whenever you bring your friends around, they will stare in awe and wonder at how well off you are and will envy your accomplishments. A home theater projector is the only thing standing between making you the talk of the town. So what are you waiting for? Get your projector today!
